Sneak peak at 14.0

PHP Point Of Sale 14.0 will be the biggest and largest change in php pos's history. We are creating a brand new responsive interface and will be adding multi-store and many other feature requests. I just wanted to share a first look at an alpha version of 14.0


Please provide feedback and we hope you like the new look.

    This year I started to use the application for some drugstores and I would think it would be okay to add an alert to the expiration date of a product

  7. Couple questions:
    1. Will this have different theme layouts for different industries?
    2. What about an employee clock-in and clock-out time-clock feature to keep track of time?
    3. Also what about payroll once these employees hours are tallied?
    4. Does this support bar code scanners as well as poles?
    5. What about connecting to Quick books via SOAP to export out?
    I'm a developer, this is the reason I ask all of this.

    1. payroll would be great. I too would benefit from it.
      also, being able to have staff members offer services as part of a sale. but not as inventory.

    2. customer group or you may say products group example: if i create a products Regular price $40 Group A price $35 Group B price $38 so which eva customer is on which ever group pay for the price is on there but n same time if 1 or more products price needs adjust for that invoice can adjust with manager or admin permit..
    3. also restaurant use
    4. employee schedule as clock in to the system will be a reminder for next wek schedule

    if you can, please try to add these features:

    - Add a presale ticket, and a interface to validate presale ticket when the client paid. (discount the items from stock in this last step).

    - Be able to add a custom select box in the sales window. (ex: for document type or client type or transaction type, etc.). And use this as filter in reports.

    - No use of the mouse in sales window be great ;).

  19. I was just on it and it looks great. Looking forward to it. But when I using the Giftcard option it charged taxes. How will I be able to remove that??

    Is more simple and the reports and navigation are neater

    Even do the functions I think are much better the new ones.

    What parts of the reports navigation do you not like. (The report selection screen, report input screen, or the actual report.

  26. Having the item grid is a major selling point for our small grocery store. We carry bulk and produce items with no bar codes and need to be able to hit a button and then add pricing as we are adding up the transaction, that or we need to be able to add a scale to the system. Looking forward to the release!

  28. Items are shared across locations, but each item has their own quantity and the ability to override prices

  30. You need I make sure the employee you are using has access to more than 1 location. You can do this from the employees page

      But I noticed still 2 things:
      - The item's inventory page displays only the inventory in the default location.
      - How can I choose the store location before opening the cash register?

    2. The choose store dropdown appears when an employee has been assigned to one or more locations. The dropdown as at the top of the navigation on the left side.

  31. It appears that the cumulative check box for taxes is pointless.
    If you set more than one tax rate in the store config, the system uses all of the rates regardless of whether or not the box is checked.

  32. The cumulative tax option is for when tax 2 is calculated using tax 1 amount + subtotal. It only works if there are 2 taxes. How did you expect it to work?

  33. I noticed a little problem with the barcode label or barcode sheet.
    Label: if the item name is too long, it displays... at the end but not the price
    Sheet: Item name can't fit

    1. We are truncating barcode labels so when printing the barcodes don't get too small. We have noticed this problem from other customers.

    2. I added that for the moment to fit my labels on barcode_labels.php :

    I really like the looks. I have touch screen so this is more of what we need.

    Only thing is that in sales screen, options of payments should be icons instead of drop downs. It will be a lot touch friendlier and takes one step out of check out.

  40. I suggest that if the user is enabled in more than one location, after you type the username and password prompt asked which location you want to enter.
    And also suggest to be able to add products with attributes as size and colors.

    1. I'm testing the system, that is why I am suggesting. Also am already client of 13.22 version that I could not use it because it doesn't handle branches and products sizes and colors, and I am eager to use this new version.
      I see that it is not possible to print tickets such as star micronics or Epson TM-T88IIP printer, because it throws the printing in A4 size

    2. We do our best to support many printers but we can't guarantee it will work as we haven' tested with it. We use a process called responsive design to scale down to the media size.
